Rural life is hard in ways that are difficult to explain to someone who didn't grow up with it - the isolation, the pressure to be strong, the way grief gets folded quietly into the next season's work. If you've ever felt like therapy wasn't designed for people like you, I'd like to change that. I work with adults, families, and teens navigating the particular stressors of rural and agricultural life; farm stress and financial pressure, family conflict around land and succession, grief and loss, trauma, and the quiet weight of carrying too much for too long.
My approach is direct, practical, and grounded in respect for rural culture. I don't believe in therapy that feels disconnected from real life. I use evidence-based methods, including Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), a highly effective trauma treatment - alongside talk therapy that meets you where you are. My practice is now located at my farm, and soon, I will be incorporating animals and nature into my therapies.
I'm a 3rd generation farm woman who spent decades away from the land before coming home. That journey - and what I learned along the way - shapes how I show up for every person I work with. I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW-PIP), QMHP, a certified EAGALA equine-assisted psychotherapy practitioner, and a QPR suicide prevention trainer.
